Ola - Who We Are

OLAYINKA SERIKI, FOUNDER

Olayinka is an innovative, creative and forward-thinking professional. Having earned a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University College of Wales, Olayinka went on to complete her MBA. She worked as a Commercial Analyst for major blue chip companies in the Finance before taking up the role of  Conferences and Arts Sponsorship at Manchester Airport Group.

She founded luxury lifestyle company UKTogether in 2010, drawing upon her considerable experience in the world of corporate sponsorship and hospitality at the highly regarded Manchester Airport Group. There she was responsible for managing arts sponsorship portfolios for over 30 diverse and celebrated organisations in the North West. Among her responsibilities, was organising, planning and executing high-end projects for a range of illustrious corporate and individual clients.

Olayinka went on to apply her exceptional organisational skills, an incredible eye for detail and strong business acumen to UKTogether. This would go on to bring individuals and corporate clients together to enjoy the very best VIP experiences at a host of exclusive venues while providing a platform to network with like-minded people.

High profile events that Olayinka has been instrumental in pulling together include political party conferences, where she has arranged private dinners and social events for MPs that range from theatre nights to Michelin starred dining experience.

No stranger to strategic planning and logistics, Olayinka’s involvement in international conferences has spanned global trade representative Airports Council International and numerous medical forums. This has included negotiating the meticulous travel arrangements, premium accommodation and jam-packed itinerary for hundreds of medical practitioners at high profile events in Porto, Barcelona, Copenhagen and New York.

Olayinka has also liaised with arts venues across the UK, including Sadler’s Wells Theatre, The Bridgewater Hall, The Lowry, the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester International and Opera North. This means that her clients have been privy to the best seats in the house at a host of critically acclaimed shows.

Using her vast network of contacts, Olayinka has arranged for clients to attend concerts by a host of international superstars, including Prince and Lady Gaga at Manchester Arena, Madonna at Madison Square Gardens, Adele at The 02 and Beyoncé at Emirates Old Trafford and Ed Sheeran at the Etihad Stadium.

Also, Olayinka has scored premium tickets for the best sporting fixtures, including the UEFA Champions League, The FA Cup, The Championships, Wimbledon, The Ashes and The Grand National.

Olayinka prides herself on her team building skills, arranging company retreats at exclusive venues in Thailand, Italy, France, Malaysia and India. Favourite activities include yoga, bike riding, spa treatments and water sports.

She is also responsible for taking care of the corporate hospitality of higher management and executive teams, often booking them luxury packages at the Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Savoy and Four Seasons hotels and organising luxury transfers and first-class tickets.

In her spare time, Olayinka enjoys learning French, having come to appreciate the beauty of the language after living in Cote d’Ivoire. She also loves to meet new people, travel and experience cultures and delicacies from across the world.

“I love to see the looks of happiness and surprise on my clients’ faces when an event is different, unexpected or completely surpasses their expectations. I always tell them that I hope they are ready to have some fun without going into too much detail, so that they can be swept away by the moment.

Sue 140x140 - Who We Are

SUE WEIGHELL, FINANCE ASSOCIATE

Sue brings her unique set of finance skills to UKTogether, helping the business to enjoy a steady growth trajectory by helping with coaching, mentoring, budgeting and systems and processes improvement. She is a highly skilled chartered accountant, financial planner and forecaster with a canny ability to take a holistic and nuanced approach to tackle business.

Her previous experience includes a role as finance director of a successful high-tech group and she was also the managing director of a lucrative B2C business.

Sue has excellent organisational skills and always takes an analytical and strategic approach to problem-solving. She has extensive knowledge across operations, HR and marketing in addition to here finely-honed finance and accountancy skills.

In her spare time, Sue loves to travel to far-flung destinations and enjoys socialising and learning all about fine wines.

Carol Ann - Who We Are

CAROL ANN WHITEHEAD, ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Carol Ann is a seasoned communications specialist with more than 20 years’ experience in business development and project management. She has organised high profile events, including awards ceremonies, conferences, cultural fixtures, performing arts festivals and celebrity endorsements across the corporate, charity and public sectors in the UK and overseas. They have ranged from intimate gatherings of eight or so people to catering for an impressive 8,000 strong guest list, helping to place businesses and organisations firmly on the map. In addition, Carol Ann has been instrumental in developing and organising five royal visits that since 2004.

A keen advocate for women’s rights, equality and inclusivity, Caron Ann has planned and executed inspirational International Women’s Day events since 2013, one of which had the honour of hosting Dr Helen Pankhurst as a special guest. She was also involved in organising the 2018 celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of votes for women.

A confident presenter and host, Carol Ann was a news contributor for Channel M’s televised Breakfast Show, alongside being a diary and events pundit for BBC Radio Manchester and Pure Radio. She is also an associate lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, working on the Fashion Buying & Merchandising Synergy project. In addition, Carol Ann is a business ambassador for the Mancunian Way, a charity that aims to reduce anti-social behaviour, and is the governor for Meadowbank Primary school, Cheadle, Manchester.

Carol Ann has won several prestigious awards, including #WoW Women in Business. More recently, she has been shortlisted for the 2018 Conference & Hospitality Show Awards in the Best Agency Personality of the Year category.

In her spare time, Carol Ann loves to attend graphic novel conventions, the cinema and theatre and enjoys travelling with her family and experiencing different cultures.
